Hillcrest High School has just celebrated 40 years of excellence in serving the local community.

The five pillars of Academics, Sport, Culture, Community Service and Leadership work together to give learners opportunities, to develop and excel holistically.
The outstanding 2015 pass-rate of 99,4% with 82,4% of 2015 matrics achieving a Bachelors pass is to be commended. The curriculum and educational policies reflect the school’s efforts to keep abreast of the changing needs and attitudes of society and are aimed at affording learners the opportunity to become well-adjusted and well-equipped young adults, who are able to meet and cope with the challenges of our dynamic society. As a public school, HHS is fortunate to have five full-time staff members dedicated to IT. This investment is indicative of the significant importance that HHS attaches to integrating technology to education. A balanced and co-educational approach helps learners to be well adjusted to the real world, developing their skills and character – life is, after all, co-educational.
In 2016 the school’s theme is ‘Go For Gold’. Not everyone can come first, but everyone can aim to do their very best and achieve their best results in everything that they do. It is hoped that the students will rise to this challenge during 2016 and achieve many personal golds.
